September Recipe Club

Caron hosted September's Recipe Club and chose Salad Sensations as her theme.  They were all GREAT!  I am not a huge fan of salads, but most of us didn't bring your typical green leafy salad.  Don't forget to check out our blog for all the recipes!

Ashley's Pasta Salad Supreme

Rhonda's Grape Salad

Caron's Avocado Egg Salad Sandwiches

Lauren's Apple Salad

Liz' Snickers Cheesecake Dessert Salad

The group discussing the dishes!

Each month, we vote on the yummiest dish and the winner gets the coveted "Silver Spoon"!  This month, I won!

Looking forward to Liz' October theme of "Company's Coming!"

Katherine's First Gameday in AU

Yesterday was DB's first Gameday in AU...and she had a BLAST!  We were a little worried how it would all go down...her without a nap and all the hustle and bustle of gameday on the Plains, but she did great!  The Verdigets gave DB a new AU cheerleader outfit for her birthday so yesterday was the perfect occasion to bust it out...she looked so cute!

The Prewetts recently moved to AU and K has been missing her friend Ellie...they had a ball playing together!

Our little cheerleader!

Katherine's first Tiger Walk!!

She was completely starstruck by the Majorettes!

We stood right behind the band at Tiger Walk and she cheered and danced the whole time!

DB got a birds eye view of all the action thanks to GrandBobby!

After Tiger Walk, we spent some time at the Auburn Alumni tent...and look WHOOOOO was there?

K had a great time at the game!  She shook her shaker the whole time and yelled "Go Tigers!" about every 10 seconds.  She was so overwhelmed by all of it, she refused to talk to us during the game! haha

Thank you Momma and Daddy D for a wonderful day on the Plains!  I'm looking forward to spending many game days with my DB and Baby Libby! (yes, the new baby has a name...Elizabeth Decker Crowe and they will call her Libby!)

A Cookie Cake & a 5K

So yeah....those two things don't go together at all, but that's what describes last weekend.  Bess and Brittany were in town from ATL, so we started off the weekend with a little celebration.  In the month of September (and one in late August) 4 of my friends have a birthday.  I persuaded the cookie cake lady to squeeze in all the names on the cake...it was a close call!  haha

Happy Birthday Britt, Bess, Casey and Allison!!

Saturday morning, we ran in the "Monkey C Monkey Run" 5K in downtown Homewood.  It was the PERFECT weather for a run...no humidity, sunshine and cooler temps.  We had a great time running and were so proud to be a part of the run.  I think we're going to make it an annual event for our group!

Here's our team..."Team #1"
Ashley, me, Bess, Casey, Britt, Allison and Ben

These 4 were brave and did "Boot Camp" drills for fun...they looked like super-star athletes! haha  The best part was they were given a $100 gift card to use at Boot Camp!  Boo-yah!

After the race we spent the day/night watching football...apparently I was having so much fun that I forgot to take any pictures!  Bess and Britt, it was great having y'all in town...can't wait to come see y'all sometime soon in the A-T-L!

Under the Sea

Katherine chose "Under the Sea" for her birthday party theme this year.  Y'all, she is a girl after my own heart!  I had a "Little Mermaid" party back in the day and I was obsessed with all things mermaid related.  Sister decided to keep the party simple and low-key this year (didn't know she knew how to do that!!) and it was perfect.  They had a pool party at their neighborhood pool with family and a few close friends.

I stuck with the theme of the party for my present...a singing Ariel doll and 'The Little Mermaid' DVD!
(And yes, I bought her the massive 'princess castle' balloon behind her...ppl stared at me when I busted up in the food court with it!)

I have a tradition with DB...I always get her the huge number balloon for the mailbox.

Dee Dee bought K some pink sparkly TOMS for her to wear to dance class...they're so cute!

Dee Dee also brought her a 'Tinkerbell' costume to play dress-up with...she wants to wear it all the time!

Dee Dee's tradition with Katherine is this...she always makes her a cupcake cake for her to eat on her birthday!

The birthday girl was ready to get the party started!!

After the party, we all went back to their house so K could open up some more presents!

DB, I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend!  I had so much fun celebrating with you and I'm already looking forward to next year's festivities!
