Things I'm Lovin' Right Now

I'm lovin' that I finally consolidated all of my recipes....they went from this...

to this!  They're all filed and in protective sheets!  SOOO much easier to flip through and find!

I'm lovin' that most of my recipes are either on my mom's notepads or in her hand-writing!  :)

I'm lovin' that after months of searching, I finally found blk.!  If you're a RHONJ fan like me, this pic needs no explanation!

I'm lovin' this new candle..I call it my "hot man candle"!  When I originally smelled it, a picture of a Ralph Lauren model popped into my head.  It smells UH-MAZING!

I'm lovin' this diffuser!  I saw this gem at an antique store in Huntsville, but just couldn't pull the trigger at the time.  After many internet searches, I finally found it...it is making my living room smell heavenly!

I'm lovin' these new SkinnyGirl flavors!

I'm lovin' this lotion!  My friend Jennifer at work introduced me to it...it's actually a men's lotion, but we LOVE the way it smells!

I'm really lovin' these sunglasses that I got on sale for over 50% off at Saks recently!  Thanks, KLC for alerting me to the major sale!

I'm lovin' that the Olympics are officially here...the girls are just as much in the spirit as I am!

The only thing left to say is, "USA, USA"!!!!!!!

Summer Fun

I've heard from a few ppl that I needed to "update" my blog....sorry for my disappearance!  I've been busy working and cramming in as much time with my girls as I can.  We have jumped from one activity to another...see below for our fun activities in July!

The second week of July, DB had swimming lessons with Mrs. Em!  I loved getting to go with her everyday and see all her great progress!

On the last day, they had a popsicle party...DB was SUPER pumped abt it!

Licious just hung out loving life while her sister swam it up!

I picked up DB a little treat for finishing swimming lessons...a fish for my fish!

I've soaked up as much time playing with my girls as I possibly can...DB loves to play hairdresser!

And she loves to play dress up with all her many princess costumes!

Licious is now sitting up by herself all the time and she couldn't be more excited abt it!

I stepped out of the box and taught VBS for the first time EVER...it was crazy and exhausting but so much fun!  I taught the 4 year old "Stellar Starfish"....we had a BLAST at Operation Overboard!

DB was a "Thankful Turtle", but we had a blast doing something special everyday after VBS!

For the first time, I was able to take DB to gymnastics...it flashed me back to my childhood days at Gold Medal in A'ville...and it got me super excited for the Olympics!

At the beginning of this week, we made a super-quick trip to ATL to see Tara and her girls!  The big girls loved their matching Ariel nightgowns!

The little girls loved getting to meet each other!

Carter thought Libby's toes were pretty cool!

And she thought they were pretty tasty! haha

We took the girls here...as a child, I would have DIED to have gone here.  I was all about an American Girl doll...I had 3!

I have to admit I teared up a little when we walked in...oh to have had somewhere like this when I was their age.  Molly was my favorite!

The girls loved it and their "babies" had a great time as well!

The 4 sailboats!

I'll be back soon with more updates....stay tuned!   :)

July Recipe Club

Ashley hosted July's RC and "Special Delivery" was our theme.  We were to bring a dish that we would make for someone that had just had a baby, had surgery, etc.  As always, all the dishes were great!  The race for the silver spoon was pretty tight!  Be sure to check out our blog for all the tasty recipes!

Ashley's table was set to a "T"!

Anna Kate made "Green Beans with Tangy Mustard Sauce"

I made "Dinner Salad with Cranberries and Pecans"

Dee Dee made "Crusted Honey Mustard Chicken" and it won the Silver Spoon!

Ashley made "BBQ Pork"

Caron made "Skinny Baked Broccoli Mac and Cheese"

Liz made "Baked Manicotti with Sausage"

Melanie made "Summer Camp Stew"

Rhonda made "Easter Salad"

Whitney made "Cheesecake Bites"

Liz gave us a presentation on her suggestion for our "theme" for the next year!

After discussion, we decided on The Joy of Cooking!  We will be cooking our way through this classic cookbook for the next year!

To celebrate our choice, Liz made her grandmother's brownies from the cookbook!
