Happy Third Birthday, DB!

My Doodle-Bug is officially THREE years old!  OMG, I just can't believe it!  The past three years have absolutely flown by...seems like just yesterday we were sitting at St. Vincent's awaiting her arrival.  Y'all know how I feel about my DB...I know she's not my child, but I feel like she's partly mine.  She brings us so much joy everyday and I know that she is going to be the BEST big sister!

To comemmorate 3 years of being 'Gigi', I thought I'd share a picture of us together from each of her birthdays.

Weekend in A'ville

With all the busyness of this time of year, I was long overdue for a weekend at home with the fam.  When I originally decided to go, it was just going to be the parental units and me...then Sister and DB decided to join us!  Basically all we did was eat, drink, watch football and shop!!

A weekend in A'ville is never complete without a project going on at the kitchen island...DB is 'Star Student' next month so we worked on her 'K' poster!

DB and GrandBobby doing what they do best...eating bacon!!  The girl is a big-time carnivore!!

Momma D whipped up her homemade French Toast Saturday morning...YUM-O!!  It completely counter acted the early morning jog I did.  :)

Y'all know the Decker crew was decked out in orange and blue for gameday!!

Momma D won the award for the cutest AU attire...look at her new AU inspired monogram necklace!

During halftime of the AU/Miss. State game, we went to Happy Hour at Sonic...can't wait 'til Sister can partake in a 'real' happy hour again!!  But for now, a Diet Cherry Limeade will do the trick!

We went to the boot store in town to buy DB some pink cowboy boots...but we came out with this rockin' pair of boots for me!  I can't wait to bust them out!

DB tore up the long driveway on her Dora bicycle.

I used to be the only family member who liked wings...now with Sister being prego, she suddenly likes them!  The wings from TJ's Hot Wings were delish!

DB is very into drawing in her 'notebook'...mostly she just enjoys sticking stickers on the pages!

Momma and Daddy D, thanks for a great weekend at home!  After gaining 10 lbs, it's time to start fresh with the diet today!  haha  Gotta cut this post short because I have to finish my dish for Recipe Club that is later tonight...be back later this week!  :)

Labor Day Weekend

First of all, I apologize for my blogging hiatus...I've been busy with school starting back and I haven't really done anything that I considered very 'blog worthy'.

Well, football season has finally arrived!  I spent Saturday at the Loveliest Village on the Plains...Auburn!  Casey and I pulled out of my house at 6:30 am and headed south.  We were tailgating with a mimosa in hand by 8:30.  Almost our whole group was there...Me, Casey, Britt, Bailey and Allison.  And almost all of us sat together at the game...a.k.a. 'The seventh layer of hell'.  I swear I've never been as hot as I was during the game...we got up towards the end of the 3rd quarter and went up to the Chambers' box.  The air conditioning was kickin' in there and it felt like heaven.  It was great to see the Chambers as well as the Skippers!

The Tigers pulled out a W by the skin of their teeth...it wasn't a pretty win, but a win none the less and I'll take it!  After the game we spent a few more hours tailgating.   I was determined to get into the new Chi O dorm so I could check out the new chapter room...I know most ppl out there have seen it first hand, but I had not yet.

While in the bathroom of the SNu house, we met a young, cute little Chi O...after screaming with excitement she offered to give us her Tiger Card so we could go check it out.  We were shocked at how trusting she was!  So off we went...Casey, Britt and I had a ball taking the grand tour.  I have to admit I got a little emotional when we walked in.  It is absolutely beautiful...sooo different from good ole Hollifield where we spent our days.

Britt, Casey, Bailey and me at the tailgate!

Strike up the band!

I sure do miss my old roomie!

We LOVED the new dorm and chapter room...we had a great time being the dorky old alumnis!

Well, it's time to hang up your white pants and get out all your football clothes!  Happy Labor Day, everyone!!

Things I'm Loving Right Now

I love the 'Twilight' marathon I had with my friends on Sunday...they finally love it as much as I do!

I'm loving my new Antelope shoes I got for work...now if I can just wear them without twisting my ankle!

This cereal is GRRREEEAAT!  It has lower sugar and extra fiber, but tastes just as good as the normal Frosted Flakes!

Loving my fern on my front porch...it has grown so much over the summer!  I call it my 'fern on steroids' because it literally blew up over night.

My mom gifted me this Keurig from my Nana's house...loving the fact that I can make my tea in the mornings sooooo much faster!

I have always liked Pandora, but recently I have been loving it...these stations are my faves!

To say that I'm loving Pinterest would be an understatement...I am OBSESSED with it!

I'm loving the fact that my niece-to-be is growing in her Momma's belly...Sister's bump is growing by the day and she couldn't be any cuter!

And finally, I'm loving my new classroom at school!  I wasn't thrilled when I found out I would have to move rooms, but my new room turned out better than I thought it would...once I added a few more owls and some polka dot curtains, it became "Very Virginia"!

I love the fact that I work at a school close to my DB so that she can come visit me at work!

My summer is officially over...kids start back tomorrow!  It's bitter sweet, but I am definitely ready to get back into my routine.  Hope all you teachers out there have a great start to your school year!
