Turkey Day

I spent Turkey Day at home in A'ville with my parents,  Aunt Jenn, Uncle D, Connor and Nana.  Due to Baby Libby's impending arrival, Sister and her crew stayed in B'ham...they were greatly missed!  Momma D outdid herself as usual with the cooking...everything was delish!

Our island was completely filled with fantastic food!

I totally get my love of holiday decor from Momma D...I LOVED her turkey plant she had made!

Nothing says the holidays like a CBV!

Daddy D and me

We don't even eat turkey on Thanksgiving...we're more of a Honey Baked Ham kind of family!

Aunt Jenn and I were matching!

Connor wanted to "shoot" some with my Dad...so they set up some targets in the backyard!

Sorry for the lack of pictures...I really didn't take that many...not much to photograph when DB isn't around!  I hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving...I know I sure did.

Now it's officially time for Christmas!  My tree is up and my house is almost completely decorated!  Let the countdown officially begin for Baby Libby's arrival...if she doesn't come this upcoming week, Sister will be induced on her birthday, the 7th.  So neat that they might have the same birthday!

Libby's Nursery

Libby's nursery is officially finished!  Sister did an amazing job with her room...it's absolutely beautiful.  The walls are pink and she went with a ballet theme with a lot of it...y'all know that is right up my alley.  Sister excels in home decor...I thought she couldn't out-do DB's room, but I think she has with Libby's.  After filling the room with all the beautiful things she received at the sprinkle, the only thing missing now is Baby Libby!  :)

Libby's Sprinkle

For those of you in the blogosphere who are unfamiliar with what a "Sprinkle" is, it is a toned-down version of a baby shower...or it is supposed to be.  Sister and her friends don't do anything on a small scale and Libby's Sprinkle was no different.  I was lucky enough to help host the party with her super-talented and fun party-throwing friends.  Sister and Libby were showered with lots of love and presents.

When I arrived at Ashley's beautiful house Saturday morning and saw this on the mailbox, I knew it was going to be a great day!

Libby's monogram wreath!

The girls were fast at work in the kitchen getting everything ready!

Tara and I spent all morning like this!

Ashley's super talented Mom did all the flowers for us...they were gorgeous!

"Stacey from Miami" always outdoes herself...these blocks matched the invite perfectly!

I made popcorn boxes for the favors.  The boxes say "Anna Kate is Ready to Pop"!  Inside each box was a white chocolate M &M popcorn mix.

These girls have an amazing attention to detail!

All of the food was DELICIOUS!

All of these presents were for Baby Libby!

I gave Sister this super-cute hospital gown to wear when she has Libby...she will be stylin' and profilin'!

All the girls!

These four pretty girls are all pregnant...look at their cute bumps!

The only person missing this weekend was Blazer.  Congratulations, Blazer, on the arrival of Price and Palmer!  We are so excited the Sloan twins are finally here and we can't wait to meet them!

Let the countdown begin to Libby's arrival...she will be here in less than a month!!!

October Recipe Club

Liz hosted October's R.C. and chose "Company's Coming" as our theme.  We were asked to bring something that you would serve if maybe your boss/spouse's boss was coming over for dinner.  If you need a dish to impress, make sure to check out our blog for all the recipes!

Ashley's "King Court Shrimp"

Caron's "Squash Stuffed with Sweet Red Peppers"

I made "Golden Potato and Boursin Gratin"....they are SUPER easy to make, but yet still taste fancy!

Liz made Lamb that was delicious!

Our plates looked beautiful!

Lauren whipped up an amazing "Red Velvet Cake"

Melanie made "Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee"...this was my personal fave!

After voting twice, Melanie and Liz tied for the "Silver Spoon"!

Sorry it has taken me so long to blog about this...Blogger is not cooperating and it's taking me forever to do a blog post...is anyone else having problems??

See y'all tomorrow night at Lauren's for November's theme of "I Can't Believe it's So Easy!"
